You've decided (or were forced) to postpone your wedding due to COVID-19. All of your guests have already received their Save the Dates and/or invitations. As if these times weren't already stressful enough, you now need to notify possibly over 300 people that your long-awaited day has been moved! Behold the sibling of Save the Dates: Change The Dates. A Change the Date is an official way of notifying your guests that your wedding has been postponed to a new date, which can be sent as a physical card or digitally. Check out some ideas on Change the Date wording, designs, and where to get them.
Member of the BBV vendor team, Marlie Renee Designs provides couples with all things wedding stationery. Marlie feels that 'Change the Date' seems less personal and a bit negative, so she and her couples are designing 'Save our new Date' cards including the new date and all of the exciting details through a cute, easy-to-follow itinerary. A new date also means that you will probably have a new headcount. Marlie advises that couples include instructions on how guests can RSVP and confirm that they can make it to the new date.
Another member of the Bear Brook Valley vendor team, The Jess Press is a one-stop-shop for wedding design needs. Jess is offering complimentary designs for her booked couples affected by COVID-19 for their "change the date" cards/e-vites. She'll match them to your invitations (even if she wasn't the one who originally designed them) or follow your color scheme and florals. Most couples have selected "save the new date" or "save the date, just in case" cards. Couples who haven't sent out invitations yet are including "just in case" on the invites, so guests can reply yes or no to both dates, and adding in that additional information will be posted on their wedding website.
Minted is an online stationery company offering a variety of designs by creatives all around the world. They are offering 'Postponed,' 'Change the Date,' 'Save our new Date,' 'Let's try this Again' cards, and more!

As stressful and crazy as this whole situation is, make the best of it! Look at this as an extension of wedding planning and have fun with it by creating new wedding invitations! Everything will work out and your wedding day will happen.
